About Osage Hills

Connecting Christ To Where We Live

This is what Osage Hills is all about. We desire to help you discover Christ, grow in your relationship with Him, and equip you to live out your faith in dynamic and meaningful ways. Your past does not define your future with Christ, but rather He redeems it. We invite you to join us as we connect with God together and then in turn, connect Christ to all facets of our lives.

We reach to make connections with others in all facets of life. At Osage Hills Christian Church, we make our primary connection with God by reaching up. Then, we reach down and connect for discipleship. We reach across to connect with others for life-changing relationships. We then reach out by connecting with others in our neighborhoods, workplaces, and cities.

Reach Up

Connect with God

Reaching Up means engaging in activities that connect you with God, such as Baptism, Worship, and Communion. While you can do these privately, we also value coming together in weekly gatherings. Baptism is a way to publicly show your faith in Jesus and your place in the Christian community. Worship is a regular practice of expressing your love and devotion to God. Communion brings us together and centers our focus on the salvation we have through Jesus Christ’s sacrifice.

  1. Get Baptized: If you haven’t already, take the step to publicly declare your faith in Jesus through baptism. Talk to a pastor or elder to learn more.
  2. Participate in Weekly Worship Services: Attend church services regularly to worship, express your love and devotion to God, and strengthen your connection with Him.
  3. Engage in Personal Worship: Incorporate worship into your daily life through prayer, singing, or other forms of praise, expressing your love and devotion to God even outside of church services.
  4. Take Communion: Participate in Communion during church services to remember and celebrate the salvation we have through Jesus Christ’s sacrifice. Reflect on its significance during this time. Communion is offered to all believers.
  5. Share Your Connection with God: Take time to reflect on your faith journey. Share your testimony with others to inspire and encourage them to connect with God.

Reach Down

Connect for Discipleship

Reaching down means establishing rhythms and patterns that help maintain focus on God in a busy and chaotic world. These rhythms can happen in many different ways, as long as they are consistent and helpful to you. We recommend reading your Bible, praying daily, journaling, and finding accountability partners. We want to help you reach these goals, so let us know what works for you!

  1. Establish a Daily Bible Reading Routine: Set aside time each day to read and reflect on God’s word, allowing God’s message to sink into your heart and mind. A devotional or a Bible reading plan can help guide you. Utilize commentaries, concordances, and other study aids to deepen your understanding of the Bible. Consider keeping a journal to note your thoughts and any revelations.
  2. Engage in Regular Prayer: Develop a consistent prayer habit, setting aside specific times each day to converse with God. Spend time in prayer listening for God’s voice, rather than just speaking. This can help you become more attuned to His guidance and direction. It’s a good idea to use a prayer journal to keep track of your prayers and God’s responses.
  3. Join a Bible Study or Class: Participate in a group or class that studies the Bible together. This will help you gain deeper insights and learn from others’ perspectives.
  4. Memorize Scripture: Commit to memorizing verses that speak to your heart. This will help you meditate on God’s word throughout the day and apply it to your life.
  5. Seek Accountability: Find a prayer partner or join a Connect Group to stay committed to your spiritual practices and encourage each other’s growth.
  6. Apply Biblical Principles: Actively apply what you learn from the Bible to your daily life. Look for ways to live out your faith in practical and meaningful ways.
  7. Share Your Journey with Others: Share your testimony on how God is transforming your life with others. It will encourage them to in their faith.

Reach Across

Connect for Life-Changing Relationships

Reaching Across in the church community builds life-changing relationships. Joining a Connect Group helps you form deep connections with others, offering encouragement, prayer, and a sense of belonging. Attending church events brings us closer together, creating opportunities for fellowship and fun. Serving together, whether in a group or a ministry, is a powerful experience that deepens our shared purpose.

  1. Join a Connect Group: Find and become an active member of a Connect Group. Participate regularly to build deep, meaningful relationships. Share your struggles and victories with your Connect Group, and offer support and prayer for others in the group.
  2. Attend Church Events: Make it a priority to attend various church events. These gatherings are great opportunities for fellowship, fun, and forming new friendships.
  3. Volunteer for Church Activities: Get involved in planning and organizing church events. This will help you feel more connected and engaged with your church community.
  4. Serve Together: Participate in group service projects or join a ministry team. Working together to serve others can strengthen bonds and create a shared sense of purpose.
  5. Share Your Experiences: Talk about the positive impact of serving together, being in a Connect Group, and attending church events with others to encourage them to get involved. Your testimony can inspire others to experience these life-changing relationships.

Reach Out

Connect with Others

Reaching Out is a way to show your commitment to God in everyday life. It’s about putting your faith into action and sharing the gospel with those around you. God deeply cares about every individual (the ONE), and by reaching out, you join His mission to impact their lives with the love of Jesus. Your actions reflect your surrender to God and the changes He has made in you. Your generosity helps create more opportunities for ministry and spreads the gospel, leading to abundant gratitude.

  1. Identify and Engage with the ONE: Look for opportunities to connect with and support someone who needs to experience God’s love. This could be a neighbor, colleague, family member, or someone in your community who is near to you but far from God.
  2. Live Out the Gospel: Reflect the teachings and love of Jesus in your daily actions and interactions. Show kindness, compassion, and integrity in all you do.
  3. Surrender Daily: Make a habit of surrendering your plans and desires to God each day. Pray for guidance and be open to His leading in every aspect of your life.
  4. Be Generous: Share your resources, time, and talents with those in need. This could mean volunteering at church or community organizations, donating to the church or missions, or simply helping a friend in need.
  5. Support Ministry Efforts: Get involved in outreach programs or other ministries that aim to spread the gospel locally. Offer your skills, time, or financial support to help these efforts grow.
  6. Share Your Testimony: Talk about the transformative work God has done in your life with others. Your story can inspire and encourage those who may be struggling or seeking hope.
  7. Cultivate a Thankful Heart: Practice gratitude by regularly thanking God for His blessings and the opportunities to serve others. This attitude will inspire those around you and cultivate a community of thanksgiving.
